I got rid of all my black plastic because of recycling issues with black plastic. Almost everything I had was black plastic. I love these utensils. They are sturdy & I am so happy with my purchase. I wanted the sage green, but they didn't have them in the extra large set, but the blue is nice also.
Best set of utensils ever! I purchased Kitchenaid utensils in the past in an aqua color and those are already staining. I purchased a set of these in aqua years back - they are still going strong! So I recently purchased an RV and needed another set. So, I am back for seconds! I just wish they were still in aqua. Please bring that color back!
The internal metal of these utensils is very soft and bends easily. It’s a poor grade of material. I returned my set immediately without using it.
I emailed Starpack to ask where these are made on 10/2/24. This is their response. Hope it helps."All of our silicone utensils are manufactured to LFGB (German) standards at a brand new facility in China.I will add that unlike other brands, the base silicone material we use is from the German brand, Wacker, making ours the highest quality silicone utensils on the market. In addition we do annual testing not only for LFGB Grade but also for SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern), and I'm proud to say our products have never not passed since we began way back in 2013."
